The European Resuscitation Council (ERC) aims to preserve human life by making high-quality resuscitation available to all. Since 1989, the ERC has provided the standard for resuscitation guidelines and training in Europe and beyond. Comprising 33 National Resuscitation Councils, the ERC's principal activities are science, training, guidelines, congresses, and public awareness. Today we have a vacancy for a Managing Director of the ERC.
FOCUS AREAS FOR THE NEW DIRECTOR
Focus on the long term
Collaborating in building our strategy with the General Purpose Committee / Board as partner
Translate the strategy in a long term/short term action plan
Operationalisation of this strategy
Leading role in strategic planning and operational execution
Enable the ERC Office and organisation to execute the action plan
Further develop the ERC Office team
Focus on all stakeholders of the organisation
Optimising business and finance operations
Be the central driver of the entire organisation
Establish and maintain excellent bi-directional communication with our network of National Resuscitation Councils

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRANSITION PROCESS
The European Resuscitation Council is currently undergoing a transition process. In its external focus it aims to grow and develop its activities and approach, internally it aims to optimize the current processes and ways of working. For this the role of managing director also requires experience and knowledge on leading an organisation in transition.

Increase knowledge on transition: understanding the development lines (from-to) and the elements that will guide us in the transition growth path (supporting elements and structures)

YOUR PROFILE
You have a master’s degree and an additional business-oriented education is a plus.
You have more than 10 years of working experience in a leadership position.
You communicate fluently in English, both orally and written. You also communicate in Dutch or would acquire this within 1 year of appointment.
