World Restart a Heart (WRAH)

Pass the Pulse: Together, We Can Keep the Pulse Going

Like every year, this year too, World Restart a Heart Day will be celebrated on October 16 worldwide.

This World Restart a Heart Day, the European Resuscitation Council is calling on people across the world to #PassThePulse.

A cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, at any time, and to anyone. When it does, knowing what to do can make a vital difference. But lifesaving knowledge should never stop with one person — it should be passed on.

That is the idea behind #PassThePulse, a worldwide digital resuscitation relay bringing the ERC and National Resuscitation Councils (NRCs) together to inspire more people to learn, share and act.

Check. Pass. Act.

Start by checking the ERC Basic Life Support Virtual Learning Environment (BLS VLE) to discover the essential steps of responding to a cardiac arrest.

Then pass the knowledge to someone else. Share what you have learned with your family, friends, colleagues and community. One person learning can become many people knowing what to do.

And don't stop there. Act by taking an ERC BLS Course and turn knowledge into practical lifesaving skills. Because when a heart stops, there is no time to wait for someone else to know what to do.

Don’t let the pulse stop with you.

Join the movement and help create a world where more people are ready to respond when a life depends on it.
