He played a key role in advocating for the introduction of paramedics and the implementation of early defibrillation—advancements that have saved countless lives. He helped establish the first public AED in the 1970s. His unwavering commitment to improving pre-hospital care has left a profound legacy that continues to inspire generations of emergency medical professionals around the world.
